For hardwood products LifestyleGarden® uses FSC® certified eucalyptus, a natural, living material that adds character to any piece of outdoor furniture, in addition to being durable and long-lasting.

Minor cracks and colour variations that occur over time are natural features of hardwood and only serve to enhance the character and authentic appearance of the furniture.

All hardwood products have been specially in-house treated with a unique water-based finish, Duragrain®, that provides protection while also allowing the natural grain of the wood to be appreciated through the unique coloured finish. We suggest a bi-annual treatment of LifestyleGarden’s Wood Sealer and Wood Protector to maintain a pristine look.

Maintenance and care

All LifestyleGarden® furniture is designed and manufactured to provide the highest levels of durability, as well as looking great with a minimum of maintenance. However, it should be noted that it is quite natural for timber to shrink and expand depending on humidity levels. Hardwood products have been primarily designed and manufactured for use in our normal summer climate and it is recommended that the product is covered during heavy snow and rainfall to prolong the life and maintaining the premium-quality finishes used on many of our pieces.

LifestyleGarden® hardwood products require maintenance every six months. Should the surface become dirty, greasy or oily it is recommended that a brush or cloth is used for easy removal. To remove rough patches first sand the surface and then apply LifestyleGarden®’s Wood Sealer and Wood Protector to protect the furniture in all weather conditions as well as maintaining the natural golden-brown colour.
